The Bangkok Pride Festival 2026 parade was lively today, with members of the public and activists from various sectors taking part in the event along Silom Road under the theme “Patch the World with Pride” to promote gender equality and enhance Bangkok’s global reputation as a recognised city of diversity.

A giant 300m rainbow flag was displayed along Silom Road as a symbol of support for the rights and equality of the LGBTQIAN+ community, while reflecting cooperation between the public and private sectors and civil society.

Bangkok Pride Festival 2026 provides a platform for the LGBTQIAN+ community to express their identities, diversity and desire for equal rights, while fostering greater understanding and acceptance of differences in society.

This year’s parade covered a distance of 4.8 kilometres, beginning at Khlong Chong Nonsi Park (Phase 2), passing along Silom Road through Sala Daeng and Henri Dunant intersections before heading towards Rama I Road — a route linked to the history of the gender equality movement in Thailand.

The parade also featured participation by political figures, including Chadchart Sittipunt, who is seeking another term as Bangkok governor, and Anucha Burapachaisri, the Democrat Party’s candidate for Bangkok governor.
