HANOI – Bright red banners and colorful posters on Hanoi’s streets lift spirits before Liberation Day.

To mark the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day, which falls on October 10, 1954, banners and posters adorn many parts of the downtown Hoan Kiem district, the beating heart of the nation.
