Myanmar military tanks, trucks and soldiers are seen on the road to Parliament and the President’s Office in Naypyitaw, and outside a government guesthouse for lawmakers that was closed by the military, on Monday. Soldiers have also taken over security patrols in the city, which had been conducted by police since last week. Telecommunications connections with Naypyitaw were cut off from 3 a.m. to noon. / The Irrawaddy
