The Asian Food Network television channel has announced that its website now features the Indonesian and Malay languages.

Users can find recipes for popular dishes like ayam penyet (smashed fried chicken) and cekodok pisang (banana fritters) on the site in both languages.

The Asian Food Network noted that 30 percent users on its website, which used the English language, came from Indonesia and Malaysia. Now, users from both countries can access content in their native languages.

The Singapore-based network said that availability of its content in local languages would provide a more personal experience for users, along with the stories behind the dishes being featured.

Launched in 2018, the website is designed to provide inspiration and recipes to create quick, simple and delicious Asian-inspired home-cooked meals. It also contains cooking tips and trends on Asian food.

Asian Food Network is available in 12 countries on digital platforms as well as pay TV services in Asia. (car/wng)
