LONDON, UK -‘Islands of Imagination: An Indonesian Cultural Late’ was an evening exploring Indonesia’s rich culture and creativity, through fashion, music, art, film, food and performance, from the country’s 17,000 islands of imagination.
Performers and participants included singer Ubiet, poet Khairani Barokka, food and drink by Chef’s Petty Elliott and Santhi Serad, and the presentation of a fashion collection by designer Didiet Maulana for IKAT Indonesia, among others.
The late event marked the start of a month of cultural and literary activity happening around The London Book Fair, (12-14 March), with a cultural programme presented in partnership with the British Council, and a professional programme presented by LBF.
Indonesia has been selected as this year’s Market Focus country.
The event was held at Asia House, Friday February 15, 2019.
