Indonesia Infrastructure Projects: Investment and Financing Opportunities

LONDON, 15/16 March: Indonesia Infrastructure Investment Forum (IIIF) hosted a two-day forum, with Keynote Speech by Indonesia Minister of National Development Planning/ Head of National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), H.E. Dr Bambang Brodjonegoro and remarks by United Kingdom Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Indonesia and ASEAN, Richard Graham MP, at Great Eastern, Andaz Hotel , 15/16 March 2018.
“Indonesia should start to change its economic potential to the reality, to be the 5th biggest economy in the world by 2050” was a key message conveyed by Indonesian Ambassador H.E. Dr. Rizal Sukma, in his welcoming speech, at the first Indonesia Infrastructure Investment Forum (IIIF) 2018.
Remarks by United Kingdom Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Indonesia and ASEAN, Richard Graham MP
Following the Ambassador’s remarks, Minister for National Development Planning H.E. Dr Bambang Brodjonegoro, underlined Indonesia as a compelling investment destination, particularly with regard to infrastructure investments. He said Indonesia was increasingly urbanized, its middle income and high number of productive population as well as extensive consumer market certainly provided a high demand on infrastructure development opportunity for business community in UK.
The forum was organized in cooperation with the Indonesian Embassy in London and Central Bank of Indonesia (BI) and supported by: Bank Mandiri, BNI, the City UK, ICE, KPMG, Pinsent Masons, and UKABC. The event’s main theme was: “Indonesia Infrastructure Projects: Investment and Financing Opportunities”
There were representatives both from United Kingdom companies and Indonesia’s leading agencies as well as private and state owned enterprises.
Over the two days, the forum focused on the ‘Exposure of Infrastructure Projects’, 15 March 2018, and the ‘Funding of Infrastructure Projects’, 16 March 2018.
