BANGKOK – Thailand has taken a major step towards implementing its new law protecting the rights of ethnic communities. Deputy Prime Minister Suphajee Suthumpun chaired the first meeting of the Committee for the Protection and Promotion of Ethnic Groups’ Ways of Life, which will oversee the implementation of the new legislation.
