NAY PYI TAW, Myanmar – Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Thongsavan Phomvihane arrived in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday for an official visit to Myanmar, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar.

The visit is being made at the invitation of Myanmar’s Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, U Than Swe. Mr. Thongsavanh is leading a Lao delegation during the three-day official trip.

Upon arrival at Nay Pyi Taw International Airport on the morning of June 11, the Lao Foreign Minister and his delegation were welcomed by Myanmar’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, U Ko Ko Kyaw, and other senior officials.

The Lao delegation’s official visit to Myanmar will take place from June 11 to June 13.
