Cambodia will exploit its forthcoming participation in the sixth Asian Festival (June 13-14, 2026) to spearhead cultural diplomacy and raise vital funds for local cancer charities, the country’s ambassador announced.
Speaking yesterday at a Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) press conference, Cambodia’s Ambassador to Bulgaria, Chea Chanboribo, said the event deepens cooperation and friendship among Asian nations.
The Indonesian Embassy in Bulgaria is organising this year’s festival to showcase regional traditions and tourism.
The Cambodian pavilion will feature cultural items, traditional desserts, coffee, tea, and the Krama—a hand-woven Khmer scarf.
Ambassador Chanboribo stated that all proceeds from the sale of Cambodian items at the pavilion will be donated to a Bulgarian foundation supporting children battling cancer.
“While this is a modest contribution, it is offered with deep love, solidarity, and a spirit of humanitarian compassion,” Chanboribo said. AKP
