Former Miss Cambodia promotes Khmer culture

Pich Vatey Saravathy, the former Miss Cambodia in 2022 – and 5th Runner-Up of Miss Grand International – has been proudly displaying traditional and contemporary Khmer costumes to showcase Cambodian culture in the current tense situation between Cambodia and Thailand.
Miss Pich had previously joined tens of thousand of Cambodian patriots in a peaceful march demanding that Thailand respect the ceasefire and release the 18 Cambodian soldiers who were illegally captured by the Thai military,
Presenting the images, she stated that “We should take lots of photos to promote our culture as history because some countries like to imitate it and make it their own.”
Online commentators lavished the Khmer beauty with praise, stating “Thank you for giving up your position as a Siamese Boycott for the nation. You are more beautiful and more beloved, not only to the Cambodian people, but I firmly believe that other nations, except Siam, will also respect and admire you when they know the truth. Continue your journey for our nation.”
