Japanese government to ensure the effective implementation of the ceasefire agreement

The Japanese government pledges on August 10 to continue working diligently to ensure the effective implementation of the ceasefire agreement in coordination with relevant countries, according to a statement from Japanese Embassy in Phnom Penh.
“The Japanese government will continue to promote the steady implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the de-escalation of the situation in collaboration with relevant countries,” the statement read.
Japan has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting enduring peace between Cambodia and Thailand following the assessment visit by the Military Attaché Corps Phnom Penh (MACPP), which includes Colonel Hara Takashi, Counsellor and Defense Attaché.
