PNOM PENH, Cambodia – Phnom Penh Walking Street has been revitalized with the launch of charming mobile libraries.
Pedestrians can now enjoy reading at mobile libraries set up along the walking street. Although these libraries only operate on weekends, their introduction is expected to provide book enthusiasts, especially children, with free access to a variety of books. This can eventually promote education and foster a love for reading.
Aside from the libraries, there are stalls showcasing products, performances, and other activities, which offer a vibrant atmosphere for both locals and foreign tourists.
Launched early February, the Walking Street operates on Saturdays and Sundays from 6 PM to 11 PM along Sisowath Quay, stretching from the Night Market to the front of the Royal Palace.
