CAMBODIA – Siem Reap, one of the 25 Best Tourist Cities in the World

Siem Reap, home to the famous Angkor temples, has been ranked 15th among the 25 Best Tourist Cities in the World, according to the Tourist + Leisure’s latest survey published last week.
The cultural city earned a score of 89.66 behind Kyoto of Japan (89.77) and before Seoul of the Republic of Korea (89.31).
Oaxaca of Mexico topped the list with a score of 92.96 while Ljubljana of Slovenia was placed 25th with 88.49 score.
Other Asian cities listed include Ubud of Indonesia which came in 3rd place; Chiang Mai and Bangkok of Thailand, 7th and 24th respectively; Jaipur and Udaipur of India, 8th and 10th respectively; Osaka and Tokyo of Japan, 9th and 12th respectively; Bodrum of Turkey, 17th; Muscat of Oman, 19th; and Hoi An of Vietnam, 20th.
Hotels, Michelin-rated restaurants, rich cultural heritage, top attractions and COVID-19 protocols are among the criteria considered by the voters. C. Nika – AKP
