Malaysia donates N95 masks to support national COVID-19 response of Myanmar

A handover ceremony of the first batch of 20,000 N95 masks, donated by the Government of Malaysia to the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Yangon at 3 pm on 28 December 2020.
This donation aims to support Myanmar’s efforts of prevention, control and treatment measures against the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Mr Muhammad Syukri Azmi, Charge d’Affaires, a.i. of the Embassy of Malaysia presented the items to U Aung Myint, Director-General of the Strategic Studies and Training Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Afterwards, the Director-General returned a letter of appreciation to the Charge d’Affaires, a.i.
Also present on the occasion were senior officials from the Ministry, representatives from the Embassy of Malaysia, Mercy Malaysia, Myanmar Airways International and Myanmar-Malaysia Business Chamber.
Subsequently, the Ministry will hand over the N95 masks to the Ministry of Health and Sports.—MNA
