BANGKOK, Thailand – A Facebook member yesterday wrote about an 81 year old man he found working in a convenience store near his home in Bangkok.
“I was surprised when I first saw him working in the store,” he wrote. “He asked me if I needed a cart and that started our conversation.”
In fact, the gentleman once owned a ship-building yard with 200 workers under his care. The business failed, he went bankrupt and lost everything that he had gained.
“The convenience store owner is very kind. He lets me work from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day,” said the elderly man.
