Lancang-Mekong Cultural Exchange Youth Camp launched in Myanmar

MANDALAY, Myanmar – A Lancang-Mekong Cultural Exchange Youth Camp was launched in Mandalay Monday with the aim of enhancing cooperation between cultural groups and youth artists from the six Lancang-Mekong countries.

The six Lancang-Mekong countries are China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand.

The four-day activities of the youth camp cover a sightseeing tour cruising the Ayeyawaddy River, a country paper reading on “Traditional Culture of Lancang-Mekong Region,” local handicrafts manufacture, song composition and choreography, a city tour around Mandalay’s cultural heritage sites and a visit to Mandalay National University of Arts and Culture.
