BALI, Indonesia – Bali is not all about beaches and waves. Travelers may want to cool down in Ubud, Gianyar regency, after a few days of sunbathing, water sports and partying. Ubud, which means obat (medicine) in Indonesian, may indicate that the town has healing powers.

It is a six-day event full of programs, including yoga, dance, meditation, breathwork workshops and music concerts, all taking place at The Bali Purnati Center for the Arts.

More than 40 classes constitute the yoga and meditation category line-up for this year’s festival, catering to various levels and styles of yogis. Take for instance Biodynamic Yoga Energetics by the United States-based Cat Kabira, Yoga N Da Hood by US-based Ebony Smith, Blindfolded and Anusara Yoga by Australia’s Julie Smerdon, and Pirate Booty Yoga & Burlesque by the US’ Gypsy.
