Colorful garbage bins in Mandalay

MANDALAY, Myanmar – Colorful garbage bins made from used car tires are on display in Mandalay and were created by Dr. Than Htike Soe, the principal of the city’s No. 26 High School.
The creative works were modeled after characters in the 2015 animated movie “Minions,” and were donated to the Mandalay municipal committee by the principal for public use. It is hoped that the bins will encourage people to be more disciplined in reducing litter and in throwing garbage into designated containers.
